She was born in Santa Monica California, the United States of America on the 26th of November, 1986. The singer is the child of father Vincenzo Barba and her mother Valerie Barba. In the year 2006, the couple moved together with their families to Point Pleasant New Jersey. Her secondary schooling at the age of six in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She graduated from Catholic University in New Jersey with a bachelor's degree. Since the age of four, she has been a violinist"Violingirl" was her name. She was referred to by her first name because of her performances. She also taught violin to the neighborhood children. Later at the age of nineteen, she appeared on the sixth season of American Idol and sang the 1976 single Free. But she was eliminated following being ranked 16th in the competition.
