Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress, best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She received a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis, a producer and American actor who is active in theater as well as television and film. She started her career acting in the theatre and then went on to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. She gained fame for playing Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made an appearance on BET's epic television series The Book of Negroes. She began her career acting in 1995 as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Stage credits include Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted through her performances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. The role she played as a regular in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
